Scrum Development for Teams Using VS/TFS 2010 to Offer Scrum Alliance Certification - Tuesday, December 08, 2009

Effective Agile Development LLC today announced that their new course for software development teams wanting to adopt the Scrum Product Development method using the upcoming Visual Studio (VS) 2010 and Team Foundation Server (TFS) 2010 will include the option for students to receive Scrum Alliance ScrumMaster or Product Owner Certifications.

This new course to be available Q1 2010, titled "Scrum Development for Teams using Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server 2010", is being developed by Effective Agile Development LLC in cooperation with 3Back LLC, of the Chicago area.

Certified Scrum Trainer Doug Shimp, Sr. Consultant and Managing Partner of 3Back LLC said, " We are offering this course as a complete starting point for the organization planning to implement Scrum using Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server 2010. Rather than sending team members to separate ScrumMaster, Product Owner and Developer training and then trying to reconcile the differences, this course allows organizations to get whole-team Scrum Training. By including Scrum Alliance certifications, we are offering the first ScrumMaster and Product Owner certification training in a whole-team context."

This 5-day, hands-on training course, creates a simulated whole team experience for implementing the guiding principles and practices of agile using Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server. This course provides the needed bridge between agile practices and real world implementation using VS/TFS 2010.

Shimp went on to say, "While this course will offer these certifications as an option for $299 per student, the choice of which certification will be up to the student. The course will be offered as an open-enrollment public course, and as an on-site private whole-team training session."
